LIKES
- Flowers: Not necessarily horticulture, just the end result of the entire matter. Elizaveta has a penchant for flowers and she makes no secret to hide such a mindset; a commercial flower is often placed in her hair no matter the occasion. She has a general attraction to what she describes as ‘natural beauty’, due to her rather lacklustre and grimy childhood, and flowers are primarily depicted as something girly. Elizaveta, of course, wishes to output that kind of image: a fashionable, respectable female, and believes that wearing the pinnacle of femininity can help that.
- Cooking: Though this is an aspect commonly tacked onto a sort of housewife niche, Elizaveta does not want to be viewed as such. She enjoys cooking solely because of the idea to disband rules and try and come up with an edible creation of her own. Well, that, and she finds that the typical frying pan can be used for more than just flipping meals without breaking their composure.
- Dresses: Another ‘girly’ thing she inclines herself towards. There really is no real basis behind her love of said garment, other than the few facts that she looks rather good in them (and Elizaveta is well aware of this), and the design of elegant, floor-length dresses appeals to her.
- Romantic novellas: Elizaveta has a soft spot for romance – she’s a romantic at heart, really. Fantasizing about finding ‘the one’ is currently a past-time of hers, and she almost takes it to an extreme, so reading about other romances provides a bit of solace. That said, she’s almost always seen reading various books (smut or otherwise) or writing her own short, spur-of-the-moment tangents.
- Beer: Though she may not be an alcoholic, she does enjoy a good beer from time to time, courtesy of having said beverage available at a young age. It is, in fact, the only alcohol Elizaveta actually enjoys (vodka and schnapps are too sweet, wine leaves a horrible aftertaste, good champagne is too expensive, etc). If given the opportunity, she won’t pass up a bottle or two. Her alcohol tolerance may be somewhat admirable, but Elizaveta doesn’t dare risk the embarrassment of drinking into oblivion.
- ”Boy Love”: Above all things, she seems to put this on her hierarchy of all things sacred. There were really no childhood factors to influence her obsession with homosexuality; she’d just always flock towards any sign of two males possibly being involved with each other. Regarding the novels she reads/writes mentioned above, the main pairing focus of said works also tend to be male homosexual romances. This isn’t to say she’s opposed to heterosexuality or lesbian couples, Elizaveta welcomes both paraphilias with open arms, but male homosexuality is a preference.
- Violence: Contrary to most, she actually tries to keep her lack of ill feeling for violence a secret. She grew up with quite a bit of rough housing amongst her family members, even if it was all in good will and ‘fun’, and thus became quite good at the self-proclaimed sport. Her appeal on the matter stems from her talent, and Elizaveta wouldn’t be expected to just walk away from a fight, should one happen. It should be noted that Elizaveta takes her anger out on others physically, and finds that it works to great effect. However, because it is not a decidedly lady like way to go about, she tries to suppress her feelings and avoid violence in most cases – either by breaking up any dispute or walking away from one if she feels pressed.
DISLIKES
- Overly-arrogant people: Despite the fact that Elizaveta has a rather prominent ego of her own, it is almost hypocritical to note that she holds anyone with challenging self-importance to her in low regard. Show-off-y being is viewed as being critically obnoxious and annoying to the Hungarian, to which she almost constantly resolves with frightening vehemence.
- Failing/Losing: Being such a conceited hard-worker means that Elizaveta can be a little over dramatic at having her oh-so-meticulously-pieced-together plans fail. She doesn’t seem to fully grasp the possibility of foils and the like, even if she tries to avoid them at all costs, seeing as the one thing to diminish her ego would be to lose at something she built up so carefully.
- Rejection: This is only one-sided, seeing as Elizaveta has no qualms in rejecting someone. On the other hand, she doesn’t take too well when she’s the one being tossed aside. She won’t really show much outward unhappiness at being denied someone/thing, though that depends on the other in question: if she truly aspires to be accepted, she will do whatever she can to get on someone’s good side, otherwise she’ll be inwardly miserable for a good amount of time.
- Socialism/Communism: Though she was not around to live through the events of Socialist Hungary, she’d received a good amount of information from her relatives. Her childish curiosity pegged her to learn more and she quickly became quite the respectable scholar on the subject, though she holds nothing but dislike for the political movement. She simply doesn’t find the prospects realistic in natural human nature, and stories passed down from generations don’t help her negative ideals, considering her family had a rather one-sided opinion of its own.
- Being called out as a tomboy: She idolizes the idea of being feminine (a proper lady, if you will) as a key to success, even if the female herself is hardly close to such a trait. Elizaveta tries her best to blend in with the mundane fashionista, but such a feat still proves to be rather difficult. And if someone makes a remark on her lack of estrogen anima? It wouldn’t just deplete her spirit, she’d react viciously to try and prove them wrong. Which wouldn’t really work, mind you, seeing as her means of ‘proving someone wrong’ relate to physical harm; certainly not something a dignified woman would do.
- Broken trust: She’s the type to give her all to someone and never attempt to break their established relation, thus expecting the other party to do exactly the same. Needless to say, Elizaveta does not cope well with having her confidence in someone abolished.
- The Roma: Elizaveta grew up in an area consisting of various Roma, and one would possibly assume that due to her exposure, she’d be a little lenient. She’s anything but. As a child, the collection of gypsies terrified her more than she’d care to admit, and their kleptomaniac tendencies irked her when she grew older. Their general lack of order, regard for stable economy/academics, and laziness only downscaled them further; the only thing she dislikes more than over-zealous ego is sloth.
STRENGTHS/WEAKNESS
- Strengths: She is a highly reliable young woman. If someone was to gain her trust -which isn’t too difficult, and can be looked at as a virtue in that sense-, she would work to elevate them as best she could. Running errands, providing information or whatever her appointed friend desired all without a second thought. Her passionate drive is another strength Elizaveta harbours, enabling her to actually continue her endeavours without losing interest or merely becoming lazy: she will stop at nothing until a task is complete and until said task meets her expectations.
Elizaveta is also a very protective and supportive of people she favours. If someone she liked was harmed, either physically or emotionally, she’d go all out to invoke proper means of justice. However, because of her caring disposition, she would take heed to other another’s thoughts on the matter (IE if a friend told her it would be unwise to go about such bloody means of penance). On the topic of being compassionate, she upholds a decidedly decent perception of a mother-type figure: Elizaveta treats all those she enjoys company with as equals to herself, and her affections are almost gratuitous towards them. - Weaknesses: As mentioned, she sets goals and standards for herself and goes about them thoroughly. While this is normally perceived as something of admirable nature, Elizaveta takes this to an extreme. She will constantly be seen utilizing anything and anyone around her to the point of breaking without a semblance of hesitation, including the Hungarian herself all for what she believes is the greater good. more tba
